Edmonton Civil Litigation LawyerThe reality is, in business or in life, at some point you are likely to come into conflict with another party. However, the current legal system is often overwhelmed, slow, and not as solution-oriented as may people would like. After several years of litigation practice these realities frustrated me as much as my clients and I transitioned into business practice. When both parties are motivated to make “a deal” a solution can usually be found, and that is truly rewarding to me as a lawyer. However, I remain drawn to help people in conflict find their way through our dispute resolution service.

If you are looking for a “pit bull” to help you “make someone pay,” you’ve come to the wrong place. But if you’re in a position where you have been wronged, or just have an issue you need solved, I may be able to help. My experience in formal litigation, combined with business practicality and a desire to find a win-win are assets when it comes to solving problems. Not fighting just to fight, or taking everything we can get…but finding an efficient and practical way through. Maybe we can even salvage whatever relationship is at play.

Areas I can assist you with include:

  • Contractual disputes;
  • Shareholder disputes;
  • Business matters;
  • Debt collection and negotiation;
  • Insurance claim resolution;
  • Franchise disputes; and
  • Landlord-Tenant disputes.

Contact us to discuss the particulars of your issue and the parties involved. I hope to be of service, but if your matter isn’t well suited to my practice or approach, I will do my best to point you to someone who can help.

Billing Philosophy

Whenever possible, I will provide fixed fee quotes to advance your matter to established points in the dispute resolution process.  In my experience, the idea of an unknown legal bill can be intimidating and may form a barrier to taking action.  By working with you to set a clear budget I will progress your matter either to trial or through settlement to be best of my abilities within that agreed fee structure.
